Indian Summer 2012 Real Estate Sales: 14 Olympia Golf Course Homes Sold

Indian Summer, the world-class golf course located in Southeast Olympia, and its surrounding neighborhood had a significant number of home sales in 2012.  The gated community enjoys a quiet atmosphere and a well-manicured grounds, and home buyers are taking notice of the value of Indian Summer homes after the price corrections of the past few years.

Fourteen homes were sold in Indian Summer in 2012, with a median price point of $330,000.  Real estate in Indian summer ranges from smaller, attached townhouse-style homes to moderately-sized new construction on the links, to large, luxurious custom homes on some of the best positions on the golf course.  The top sale for the year was a $537,500 home on Turnberry Lane.   Over the past few years, there have been some custom homes that have sold as high as $1 million, and other homes as low as $220,000, with a wide variety of styles in between.

Indian Summer's higher than average real estate prices for Olympia have followed the trends of much of the luxury real estate market.  Higher-end neighborhoods are usually slightly slower to make their way into recovery mode than inexpensive markets, but Indian Summer seems to be headed that direction now.  As home sales continue to bolster the market, stabilized and even rising prices are likely to follow.
