January Bounce for Waterfront Homes: King Co Sales Up 11%, Seattle Up 29%

Waterfront home sales in the Seattle region bumped up by significant margins in January.  Year-over-year sales of waterfront houses, condos, houseboats, and floating homes were up 11.1 percent, continuing the strengthening trend we saw throughout 2012.  In the city of Seattle, the gains were even larger with a 28.6 percent bounce.

There were 40 waterfront homes sold in King County in January.  The highest priced-home was a $3.7  million home on Lake Sammamish, while the least-expensive was a $103,000 waterfront condo in Rainier Beach.  The top sale for the city of Seattle was a floating home on Fairview Ave in Eastlake, which sold for $815,000.
