Home buyers are often unaware of how unprepared they'll be when they find the home that they want. House hunting can be a lot of fun, but if you're not pre-approved before you find the home the home of your dreams, you may lose out on it.
1/4 of all homes are sold in the first two weeks on the market.
Home buyers who are prepared with a pre-approval letter have the ability to make an offer the same day if they find their perfect home. Without talking to a lender before finding your home, it may take days to get a pre-approval.
Home sellers often won't look at your offer until you have a pre-approval letter. At a minimum, an offer without a pre-approval would be significantly discounted when compared with another pre-approved buyer, and with so many competing offers in the current market, the unprepared buyer would lose out.
On the bright side, getting a pre-approval is easy.
Talk with one of the lenders that many of our home buyers use. The pre-approval process is free, and doesn't take much of your time. Just answer a handful of questions, fax/email/mail a few documents to the lender, and within a few days you'll be pre-approved.
You don't want to waste your time looking at homes out of your price range. We want you to be comfortable with the mortgage payment upfront. Home sellers want you to be prepared to make the best offer possible. Getting pre-approved is the best bet for successful home hunters.
