Medina is on the western edge of Bellevue, encompassing the Lake Washington waterfront between Evergreen Point and Meydenbauer Bay. Although many would consider it a part of Bellevue, Medina is an incorporated city. The area is known for its affluent citizens including Microsoft founder Bill Gates and many other Seattle-area business pioneers and dignitaries. Waterfront mansions along the shoreline give way to upscale estates inland.
